OVERVIEW

Audio-Technica’s System 10 is a digital high-fidelity wireless system designed to provide performing musicians and presenters with advanced 24-bit operation, easy setup and clear, natural sound quality. Operating in the 2.4 GHz range, far from TV and DTV interference, System 10 offers extremely easy operation and instantaneous channel selection. Up to eight channels may be used together without any frequency coordination problems or group selection issues. System 10 receivers and transmitters offer an easy-to-read digital ID display.

System 10 wireless ensures clear communications by providing three levels of diversity assurance: frequency, time, and space. Frequency Diversity sends the signal on two dynamically allocated frequencies for interference-free communication. Time Diversity sends the signal in multiple time slots to maximize immunity to multipath interference. Finally, Space Diversity uses two antennas on each transmitter and receiver to maximize signal integrity.

Featuring stackable, contemporary styling, System 10 is available in multiple system configurations, with handheld vocal microphone/transmitters and UniPak® body-pack transmitters designed for use with lavalier, headworn and instrument microphones as well as electric guitars. Each configuration includes the ATW-R1100 receiver and either a body-pack transmitter or handheld microphone/ transmitter. The ATW-R1100 is a digital receiver offering volume control along with AF Peak and Pair indicator lights.

  • Digital 24-bit/48 kHz wireless operation for ultimate sound quality and dependable performance

  • 2.4 GHz range – completely free from TV interference

  • Three levels of diversity assurance: frequency, time, & space

  • Automatic frequency selection for seamless, interference-free operation

  • Extremely easy operation with instantaneous channel selection, sync, and set-up

  • State-of-the-art digital receiver for reliable performance

  • Balanced XLR and unbalanced 1/4” output jacks with level control
SYSTEM CONFIGURATIONS

The ATW-R1100 is a digital receiver offering volume control along with AF Peak and Pair indicator lights.

Also including the ATW-R1100 digital receiver, the ATW-1102 wireless system is engineered to quickly find the best signal possible, utilizing an automatic frequency selection function that chooses open bands for you when you "pair" your transmitter with the receiver. Also designed to combat interference, the ATW-1102 system uses three different diversity techniques. Using frequency diversity, the system sends the wireless signal on two separate channels simultaneously and chooses the one with the clearest signal. It also transmits the signal across multiple time intervals in order to fight multipath interference. This is known as time diversity. Furthermore, the system also makes use of space diversity, choosing between the receiver's dual antennas depending on which is picking up the best signal integrity.

MAIN PARTS:

1. Antennas: Position the antennas as shown.

2. System ID Select Switch: Press to cycle through System ID numbers. (System ID is an identical number assigned to a pairedreceiver and transmitter for identification purposes.)

3. System ID Display: Shows System ID number.

4. Pairing Switch: Press to initiate pairing.

5. AF Peak Indicator: Only lights when audio distortion is present at maximum modulaton. Not affected by position of Volume control.

6. Pair Indicator: Glows green to indicate presence of paired transmitter. Also blinks green to indicate pairing mode activated

1. AF Level (Volume) Control: Adjusts audio output level of both AF Output jacks; maximum output is fully clockwise.

2. Unbalanced Audio Output Jack: ¼" phone jack. Can be connected to an unbalanced aux-level input of a mixer, guitar amp or tape recorder.

3. Balanced Audio Output Jack: XLRM-type connector. A standard 2-conductor shielded cable can be used to connect the receiver output to a balanced microphone-level input on a mixer or integrated amplifier.

4. Power Input Jack: Connect the DC plug from the included in-line AC adapter.

5. Cord Hook: Loop the cord around the cord hook to keep the DC plug from pulling out accidentally.

ATW-T1002 Handheld Dynamic Unidirectional Microphone/Transmitter.

Add this handheld microphone to your Audio-Technica System 10 wireless system. It provides a clean sound for performers and public speakers.

The ATW-T1002 handheld microphone transmitter features a dynamic, unidirectional element that is designed to reject sound from the back and sides of the mic. This design is ideal for stage use, helping to achieve higher gain before feedback and greater isolation for the speaker or singer. The ATW-T1002 is also equipped with a mute switch and an input level control. The mute switch can come in handy in live music or public speaking settings for quickly muting the sound so you can give discrete instructions to others on stage without the audience hearing what you are saying. The input level control can be adjusted to customize the sensitivity of the microphone to match how loud or soft you sing or speak. This can help to ensure that every word you say is captured as well as help to avoid clipping and unwanted distortion.

MAIN PARTS:

Handheld Transmitter Battery Installation

1. While holding the upper part of the transmitter body just below the ball-screen, unscrew the lower body cover and slide it off to expose the battery compartment

2. Carefully insert two fresh AA alkaline batteries, observing polarity markings.

3. Screw the body back together. Do not over tighten.

Handheld Transmitter Battery Condition Indicator

After the batteries are installed, press and hold the Power/Mute switch on the bottom of the handheld transmitter until the indicator LED turns green. If the indicator LED does not light up when the Power/Mute switch is pressed, the batteries are installed incorrectly or they are dead. The indicator LED will flash to show low-battery condition.

Handheld Transmitter Mute Function

With the transmitter on, a slight touch of the power switch will toggle between muted and unmuted operation. Red indicator LED shows muted operation. Green indicator LED shows unmuted operation.

Handheld Transmitter Pairing Switch

Used to complete pairing sequence

Handheld Transmitter Level Control

Used to set microphone level

Handheld Transmitter Screwdriver

Handheld Transmitter System ID Display

Note: System ID is an identical number assigned to a paired receiver and transmitter for identification purposes. When Power is applied, the System ID Display on the transmitter glows bright and then turns off to conserve battery life. To turn the System ID Display back on, mute and unmute the transmitter.
