HTS 101 System Components:
- TANNOY HTS 101 is a super-compact 5.1 channel home theatre system designed to blend seamlessly into any modern living room. Discreet yet potent, the four HTS Satellite speakers offer flexible room positioning on their supplied wall brackets of non-scratch rubber feet.
HTS 5.0 Pack (4 HTS Satellite Speakers and HTS Center Channel Speaker)
The TANNOY HTS 5.0 pack comprises four HTS Satellite speakers and the HTS Centre channel loudspeaker. This pack can be combined with an existing stereo pair of speakers and HTS subwoofer to create a stunning 7.1 channel home theatre system. Also useful for home theatre applications where deep bass from the HTS Subwoofer is impractical, the HTS 5.0 delivers surround sound movie thrills without ultra-deep low frequency effects.

- Compact wood cabinets - Unlike typical compact home theatre systems Tannoy HTS uses real wood cabinets to deliver a richer and fuller sound from a super-compact enclosure. Engineered using Tannoy’s acoustic expertise in speaker construction and bracing, the exceptionally solid HTS speaker cabinets have been created to get the best from the high-tech HTS drivers.
- WideBand™ Tweeters - HTS loudspeakers benefit from a high-tech 19mm (3/4”) Tannoy WideBand™ tweeter using a titanium dome. Titanium gives a much cleaner and more accurate response than typical soft dome tweeters and allows HTS to boast a class-leading frequency response out to over 40kHz. Not only will this wideband frequency response deliver the full spectrum of audio on Blu-ray movies it improves the coherence and naturalness of music reproduction.
- Neodymium driver magnets - The HTS WideBand™ tweeter is driven by a compact Neodymium magnet system. Neodymium is the strongest known type of permanent magnet, allowing the tweeter to deliver exceptional speed and transparency. High frequency special effects are projected out into the room and key dialogue frequencies are reproduced with natural timbre and articulation.
- 3” mid-bass drivers - The new HTS mid bass drivers use a 3” pulp paper cone crafted into a continuous profile with integrated dust cap. Lightweight and extremely rigid the new mid bass drivers deliver crisp and punchy bass and give natural depth to male dialogue. The HTS Centre uses twin 3” mid bass drivers for extra power and depth.

The HTS Subwoofer is available as a stand-alone subwoofer with flexible connection and tuning controls that make it an ideal upgrade to any compact home theatre system. The compact dimensions mean the HTS Subwoofer is easy to place in the room and the energy saving auto-power on/off functions means there is no need to have easy access to its controls.
HTS Subwoofer Features:
- Rigid braced cabinet - Tannoy HTS Subwoofer uses a real wood cabinet that has been braced and bonded to maximise rigidity and reduce colouration. The substantial baffle ensures solid mounting of the powerful driver and bass that is not simply prodigious but well controlled low frequency effects with excellent transient attack.
- 8in Bass driver - A long-throw 8in (200mm) downward firing bass driver forms the heart of the HTS Subwoofer. The lightweight paper pulp cone delivers accurate low frequency reproduction down into the sub-bass region. The massive ferrite motor system ensures bass effects have real presence and power in the room.
- High power amplifier - The HTS Subwoofer has a strong 100Watt amplifier on-board to generate remarkable bass power and volume when required. A high current design, the HTS Subwoofer amplifier ensures the bass is as fast and tight as it is deep and expressive.
- Flexible controls - For fine tuning the bass response in room the HTS Subwoofer offers a level of control normally only found on bespoke stand-alone subwoofers. The crossover frequency can be adjusted from 50hz to 200Hz ensuring seamless integration with not only HTS speakers abut a wide range of compact home theatre systems and the phase can be reversed to get the best sound from any room position.
- Deep gloss finish - To match a wide range of modern electronics and speaker systems, the HTS Subwoofer is finished in deep gloss black. The downward firing bass driver means no grille is required.
Connect the speakers to the AV Home Cinema receiver or separate amplifier terminals as follows:
- Measure out suitable lengths of cable, to reach between the speakers and your AV or Home Cinema receiver speaker output terminals.
- Wire up the system connecting each speaker to the appropriate terminals on the receiver or amplifier making quite sure that cables connect red to red terminals (+ to +) and black to black terminals, (- to -). Take care to distinguish between left and right channels, and the front and rear channels, as seen from the viewing position. This is a very important stage in setting up. Getting things wrong at this stage is the most likely reason for disappointing results when troubleshooting the system.

Exchange/refund procedure
For exchanges/refund, the customer is required to post an exchange/refund request on the “Q&A” board.
The request is to include the reason for exchanges/refunds and the order number.
In case of exchange/refund request due to product defects or wrong item delivered, detailed photos of the products are also required. Exchanges/refunds will be made shortly upon careful examination and confirmation on the reported defects.
