Overview:

Thanks to the powerful 4” compression driver, the large sized horn, the incredibly fast woofer,  RCF TT5-A offers the highest performance from a wide dispersion, active, 2 way system.

• High output and dynamics, extreme linearity and fidelity makes the TT5-A a unique product in its category. The TT5-A is the ideal professional two-way speaker for mid field and near field sound reinforcement, live performance and events.
• The RCF Precision newly designed 4” compression driver guarantees the exceptional sound projection and pattern control. The integration of the 1600 Watt, digital amplification and the advanced digital processing set a new standard for distortion, noise and thermal efficiency.
• The speaker is equipped with a complete set of integrated rigging mechanics for rental or installation. Dedicated accessories to create clusters are available.

The design philosophy for the new TT+ series is based upon offering the sound engineer solutions and tools that are ready to use. Key factors are the ability to sustain very high power with highly efficient sound pressure levels. Intense sound levels are created with extremely high definition and extended dynamic range. Modern construction materials result in mechanical weight ratios that are light for practical flying and portability.

APPLICATIONS

The TT5-A is a high power, active loudspeaker designed specifically for high quality indoor and outdoor near and mid field sound amplification. It is equipped with 1600 W digital amplification, 1100 W are delivered from the low frequencies amplifier and 500 W from the high frequency digital module. The low frequencies transducer is a powerful 15” hypervented woofer with 4” voice coil. A large sized 2” titanium dome compression driver loaded to a 90°x 50° dispersion constant directivity horn provides a perfect high frequencies coverage.

ACOUSTIC DESIGN

TT5-a is the result of an incredibly advanced acoustic design, state of the art digital power amplifiers and a group of innovative processing algorithms that, running at 96 KHz, take care of the speaker linearity and its dynamic control.

CLASS D -  STATE OF THE ART POWER

Two independent digital amplifiers, 1100 W low frequencies, 500 W for the high frequency driver, deliver an astonishing output power making the TT5-A one of the most powerful 2 way module on his category. Our class D amplifiers offer hi-fi sound, extremely low distortion with negligible quiescent noise and stable burst response.

HF DESIGN

• The HF transducer is a high performance 4-inch diaphragm compression driver with a 2 inch exit throat featuring several state of the art technologies. RCF has developed an oxygen free process of moulding pure titanium ultra thin films in high quality, finely controlled shaped diaphragms. Our process offers superior sonic quality, extended to the highest audible frequencies which guarantee consistent power handling and reliability. The diaphragm and suspension are precision formed from .05 mm (.002 in.) thick pure titanium. At the point where the titanium suspension is bonded to the assembly ring, a special dampening adhesive has been applied in order to further reduce and eliminate distortion creating resonances.

DIRECT DRIVE VOICE COIL ASSEMBLY

• The voice coil assembly is designed using a high strength, high temperature Kapton voice coil former, rectangular profile copper clad aluminium wire and assembled using advanced, specially formulated adhesives. Proprietary curing processes ensure optimal assembly strength and safe operation even under extreme thermal conditions. The top of the former is bent and bonded directly to the edge of the titanium diaphragm resulting in a Direct Drive™ configuration. Direct Drive™ guarantees optimal transfer of energy between the voice coil and the dome assembly providing smoother, extended frequency response beyond 10 kHz, reducing break up modes and lowering distortion. This assembly delivers high power handling along with excellent mechanical and thermal properties that make the compression driver exceedingly reliable and robust.

WOOFER DESIGN

• The TT5-A mid bass transducer is designed to provide an excellent frequency response linearity with very low distortion. A very strong neodymium magnetic structure guarantee dynamic and precision, a new and unique 4.0” voice coil design provides a very high power handling, especially recommended in comparison to a standard coils. The unique Dual-forced air venting system guarantee a very efficient voice coil ventilation to minimize the power compression and provide higher power handling.

 

INSIDE/OUTSIDE VOICE COIL

• RCF has developed a unique voice coil, combining the advantages of inside/outside technology to the superior quality of polyimide-imide materials (wire resins and formers resins).

The inside/outside coil offers many advantages: 

•  the dissipation surface is doubled;
• the adhesion area to the former is doubled;
• during thermal expansion the former is squeezed between inside and outside layers offering the best mechanical resistance. 

Our inside/outside formers are made from polyimide-imide fibreglass and the area between the coil and the cone is a triple layer of Nomex - fibreglass - Nomex for maximum stiffness and accurate sound transfer.

ENCODER CONTROL

Pushing the rear encoder it is possible to select the following three functions:

•  input gain reduction
• speaker delay setting
• selection of a speaker preset

SELECTION OF A SPEAKER PRESET

Pushing a third time the rear encoder the preset LED will light up. Now rotating the encoder clockwise it will be possible to select a preset. There are eight presets in three groups:

•  CLOSE (C). When the listening distance is less than 4 meter
• LINEAR (L). When the listening distance is from 4 to 11 meter
• FAR (F). When the listening distance is more than 11 meter.

SOFTWARE

• TT5-A is ready to be connected to RDNet. Just plug in the RDNet optional input (AC RDNet IN/OUT Plug) and connect your speaker to a Control 8 or Control 2 Interface.
• Using the RDNet protocol is possible to monitor all the system parameters, from the input to the status of each single amplifier. With the integrated DSP board of each unit, it is possible to address to single cabinets or groups of cabinets specific presets via the RDNet GUI software.

AUTOMATICALLY SCANNING

When online the RDNet Control 8 unit sequentially scans all audio devices, which are automatically assigned to digital addresses.

• The loudspeaker object are automatically added to the software synoptic, and the software shows an object for each loudspeaker (or any other audio device) that has been found.
• In the object window you get different indications of the speaker and also switch functions such as Mute & Solo.
• There are two indicators of the signal level: the first is a bar, the second a single LED to indicate the peaks.
• The display also indicate with a yellow alert symbol if there is a wrong setting in the system.

Rear Panel Features:

1.) FEMALE XLR INPUTS (BAL/UNBAL). The system accept XLR input connectors.

2.) MALE XLR SIGNAL OUTPUT. The output XLR connector provides a loop through for speakers daisy chaining. The balanced connector is connected in parallel and can be used to send the audio signal to other amplified speakers, recorders or supplementary amplifiers.

3.) SYSTEM SET UP ENCODER. Push the encoder to select a function (gain reduction, delay, preset). Rotate the encoder to select a value or a preset

4.) GAIN REDUCTION LED. Pushing the encoder once the gain reduction indicator lights green. Then rotate the encoder to reduce the gain to the right level.

5.) DELAY LED. Pushing the encoder twice the delay indicator lights green. Then rotate the encoder to delay the speaker. The delay is expressed in meters.

6.) PRESET LED. Pushing the encoder three times the preset indicator lights green. Then rotate the encoder to load the right preset to the speaker

7.) SYSTEM SET UP DISPLAY. Display the system setting values. In case of RDNet active connection a rotating segment will light up.

8.) RDNET LOCAL SETUP/BYPASS. When released the local setup is loaded and RDNet can only monitor the speaker. When switched the RDNet setup is loaded and bypass any speaker local preset.

9.) RDNET RECALL LED. This orange LED lights up when the LOCAL SETUP/BYPASS switch is pressed. If connected, RDNet is taking control of the speaker the speaker.

10.) AC RDNET IN/OUT PLUG OPTION. The AC RDNET IN/OUT PLUG optional accessory can be installed removing a blind panel on the right side of the board. In the picture the installed accessory is shown.

11.) LIMITER LED. The amplifier has a built in limiter circuit to prevent clipping of the amplifiers or overdriving the transducers. When the soft clipping circuit is active the LED blinks RED. It is okay if the limit LED blinks occasionally. If the LED lights continuously, turn down the signal level.

12.) SIGNAL LED. The signal indicator lights green if there is audio signal present on the main input.

13.) STATUS LED. This yellow led is ON when the amplifier is in failure mode. In this case please contact the closest RCF service centre.

14.) POWER LED. This green led is ON when the speaker is connected to the main power supply

15.) AC INPUT. Powercon locking 3-pole AC mains.

16.) AC OUTPUT. Powercon locking 3-pole AC mains output.

Exchange/refund procedure
For exchanges/refund, the customer is required to post an exchange/refund request on the “Q&A” board.

The request is to include the reason for exchanges/refunds and the order number.
In case of exchange/refund request due to product defects or wrong item delivered, detailed photos of the products are also required. Exchanges/refunds will be made shortly upon careful examination and confirmation on the reported defects. 

The shipping costs occurring from product defects or wrong item delivered are the responsibility of the channel.com.ph.

If repair of returned merchandise is necessary due to neglect, damage, misuse, or improper repair by others, a charge will be made for labor, parts, and return freight.
