Overview

Professional high performance solid state broadcast deck with advanced 12G-SDI and HDMI 2.0 for recording and playback of all SD, HD and Ultra HD formats up to 2160p60.

UHD 4K playback and recording at up to 60p is introduced with the Blackmagic Design HyperDeck Studio 12G. This file-based deck provides the familiar jog/shuttle interface of traditional VTRs, but instead of tape use SSD drives for recording media. It records in uncompressed QuickTime, ProRes, or Avid DNxHD formats all with up to 4:2:2 color sampling at 10-bit color space. With two SSD slots, you can record almost endlessly - as one SSD becomes full, recording automatically continues on to the other. The Studio 12G features one 12G-SDI input that is 3G-, HD-, and SD-SDI compatible along with one HDMI 2.0 input. In addition, there are four total SDI outputs and one HDMI 2.0 output for monitoring and connection to other equipment in your studio. All of the SDI connectors plus both of the HDMI ports support UHD 4K (3840 x 2160) at up to 60 fps.

The Studio 12G is housed in a 1RU rackmountable unit, with built-in rackmount ears. It features illuminated front panel button control and a jog/shuttle wheel for analog scrubbing. RS-422 control is supported for external control. You can also control the unit using either the USB port or over Ethernet via the RJ-45 connector. An integrated LCD on the front panel allows you to monitor the video, and display timecode and transport information.

HyperDeck Studio’s single rack unit size fits easily into any equipment rack, flyaway kit or OB vehicle, and is great if you want to record or play back with live production switchers. With dual SSD slots you get unlimited duration recording, when a record disk fills then recording will automatically continue on to the next disk. Now you can record an entire event without missing a thing! HyperDeck Studio Pro also includes a Thunderbolt connection so you can capture directly into a computer or master to SSD! With uncompressed, ProRes and DNxHD video formats HyperDeck Studio is the broadcast deck for the 21st century!

HyperDeck Studio includes the highest quality 3G-SDI and HDMI connections, so you can connect to virtually any camera, monitor or SDI router. Connect your camera’s HDMI or SDI output and record the highest 10-bit uncompressed video, bypassing compression formats that cameras use to reduce file size. HyperDeck Studio’s HDMI output is perfect for connecting to monitors and projectors. HyperDeck Studio Pro also includes analog component video and XLR audio connections, plus 6G-SDI for HD and Ultra HD up to 2160p30. The advanced HyperDeck Studio 12G includes the latest technology 12G-SDI and HDMI 2.0 for high frame rate capture and playback of all SD, HD and Ultra HD video formats up to 2160p60!

Familiar VTR Controls

Easy to use, no training required!

HyperDeck Studio features a familiar VTR style design and includes illuminated crystal buttons, a jog/shuttle wheel and RS-422 for external control. The integrated high resolution LCD screen displays timecode and transport information, plus a full color thumbnail preview of the current clip in record or playback. You can also see video format and frame rate information, as well as audio levels, all on the same display!

The integrated high resolution LCD screen on the front panel displays a full color thumbnail preview of the current clip being recorded or playing back. The thumbnail preview can be combined with essential clip metadata such as timecode, audio levels, format and resolution. You also get feedback on transport information as well as being able to navigate settings to adjust your configuration, all on the same display!

Fast SSD Technology

Super reliable, off the shelf media you can buy anywhere

HyperDeck Studio uses 2.5″ solid state disks (SSDs) for reliable, fast video recording. Now you can eliminate complicated and expensive disk arrays, as a single SSD lets you record either compressed or uncompressed video effortlessly! You can even edit direct from the disk! SSDs are extremely robust because they have no moving parts and can handle shocks and vibrations that would destroy conventional hard drives or videotapes. Other removable media cards simply cannot match the level of performance and incredibly fast read/write speed of SSDs.

Features:

UHD 4K Recording and Playback

The HypeDeck Studio 12G records video to uncompressed QuickTime at 10-bit with 4:2:2 color sampling at up to UHD 4K (3840 x 2160) at 60 fps. It also records to ProRes 422(HQ), ProRes 422, ProRes 422 (LT), ProRes 422 (Proxy), as well as Avid DNxHD and Avid DNxHD MXF, also all in SD and SD.

Two SSD Bays

For accepting storage media, the unit incorporates two 2.5" slots with SATA connectors for use with SSD drives. The ability to swap out drives while recording enables almost endlessly durations, seamlessly switching from one SSD to the other as the first one fills up.

Video Inputs

The HyperDeck Studio 12G supports SD, HD, 3G, 6G, and 12G signals over SDI and up to UHD 4K at 60p via HDMI 2.0.

Video Outputs

A total of four SDI outputs are provided: a single loop-out that mirrors the incoming signal, two playback outputs, and a dedicated monitor output. Additionally, there is a single HDMI 2.0 output with UHD 4K at 60p support that can serve as a loop-out, be used for playback, or connected to a local monitor.

VTR Style Controls

The HyperDeck Studio 12G features VTR style front panel controls for record and playback. With illuminated buttons, for working in dim locations or settings, while a built-in jog/shuttle wheel provides analog style control over your playback.

Remote

The unit is controllable via RS-422 control and over the Ethernet or USB port.

Built-In LCD Monitor

The unit's front panel also features a built-in LCD screen that allows you to monitor input or playback video as well as timecode, format, and audio levels.

Included Software

The HyperDeck Studio 12G includes HyperDeck Utility, Media Express, Disk Speed test, Blackmagic System Preferences, and Blackmagic driver software.

Exchange/refund procedure
For exchanges/refund, the customer is required to post an exchange/refund request on the “Q&A” board.

The request is to include the reason for exchanges/refunds and the order number.
In case of exchange/refund request due to product defects or wrong item delivered, detailed photos of the products are also required. Exchanges/refunds will be made shortly upon careful examination and confirmation on the reported defects. 

The shipping costs occurring from product defects or wrong item delivered are the responsibility of the channel.com.ph.

channel.com.ph will repair any product under warranty at no charge or replace the unit of the exact model if deemed necessary.

If repair of returned merchandise is necessary due to neglect, damage, misuse, or improper repair by others, a charge will be made for labor, parts, and return freight.
