Overview

A Yamaha VXS10ST subwoofer will bring out the bass in your background music with a big 10" driver. The bass-reflex cabinet can be surface mounted, so it doesn't sit on the floor where customers can trip over it. The subwoofer's power taps let you easily integrate it into an efficient 70-volt commercial sound system.

The Yamaha VXS10ST Surface Mount Speaker is a 10-inch dual voice coil subwoofer for high impedance systems. Yamaha designed VXS speakers to accommodate a growing list of applications in the installation market. While these speakers deliver quintessential Yamaha sound quality, they have also been carefully designed for safe and easy installation. Featuring ceiling mount option, the VXS10ST speaker includes a full comprehensive range and is finished in black, or can be painted to match the interior of any application.

Highly adaptable surface mount speakers
Yamaha_VXS10ST-image-th-01The VXS Series lineup features two full-range models and two subwoofers, allowing you to choose the optimal model for a particular application and, if necessary, combine it with a subwoofer for venues that require a stronger bottom end. VXS Series full-range models are equipped with internal transformers that allow them to operate at both high or low impedance simply by changing the tap on the rear of the speaker. Full-range models also offer IP35-rated protection, ensuring worry-free use in outdoor applications.

Flexible mounting for easier configuration
Yamaha_VXS10ST-image-th-02VXS speakers come with a dedicated bracket for safe, troublefree speaker installation. Speakers can be mounted temporarily, freeing your hands to adjust mounting angles, which can now be configured consistently with ease thanks to the gear guides in the bracket connectors. Furthermore, the bracket base allows VXS Series speakers to be mounted on both walls and ceilings without the need to prepare a different set of brackets.

Pursuing the best sound for installation
Yamaha developed the VXC and VXS Series speakers to address a demand in the installation market for speakers capable of providing superb music reproduction as well as crystal clear announcements for public address applications. Both series feature newly customized transducers with large, powerful magnetic circuits that increase driving and braking force substantially, as well as dedicated tweeter diaphragms and speaker cone paper made from a carefully-created blend of materials that help optimize sound reproduction. Cabinets are built tough to meet the demands of a wide variety of commercial environments, constructed from a carefully selected plastic with just the right tensile strength, and designed with optimized bass-reflex tuning to offer a firm, tight low-end. From the networking components and the materials used for wiring and soldering, right down to the optimal placement of acoustic absorption material, a great deal of attention has been paid to even the smallest details of the series' design.

Speaker Design
Yamaha_VXS10ST-image-th-03Several aspects of these speakers' design reflect a strong emphasis on functionality as well as the aesthetic features of their construction - effectively enhancing sound quality and speaker performance without disturbing the interior décor of the installation. This concept is evident in the hexagonal design featured on the grille of both series' speakers that actually improves sound clarity by raising the aperture ratio. Similarly, the smooth curves of the surface-mount cabinet's simple yet sophisticated design allow the speakers to be mounted closely to the wall - while still fully capable of panning and tilting to target service areas. Even the innovative design of the VXC's tweeter improves sound clarity by providing unrestricted woofer movement.

EN54 compatible version with uncompromised performance
Yamaha_VXS10ST-image-th-05Yamaha also offers "VA" versions that add EN54-24 voice alarm system standard compliance while retaining the outstanding sonic quality and ease of installation provided by the VXC and VXS series speakers; therefore a single speaker can optimally handle both music reproduction and emergency broadcast functions. The VA versions employ flame-retardant materials for the cabinet and baffle, ceramics for the speaker terminal support, and clamping covers on the rear panels to meet EN54-24 standard heat and moisture resistance requirements. A comprehensive lineup of 5 models and 10 variations means that appropriate types are available for applications of just about any scale and purpose.

A choice of models for all low-frequency needs
Luxurious bass response can enhance musical presence and realism in a big way. Yamaha offers the VXS3S for smoothly extended low-end power, and the VXS10S and VXS10ST for applications that require maximum bass impact. Choose the model that best suits the size of the system and the full-range speakers used.

Low-frequency enhancement methods
A number of methods are used to enhance low frequency response in speaker enclosures. In bass reflex designs, a tuned port in the enclosure boosts low frequencies emanating from the rear of the speaker unit. The VXS10S adopts this method, specializing in more powerful low frequency reproduction. The problem with this approach is that as the enclosure becomes smaller or thinner, the size of the port must be reduced accordingly, resulting in increased resistance and correspondingly reduced bass enhancement. Bass reflex designs are not always suitable for compact enclosures.

Passive radiator designs avoid the use of a port, instead boosting bass response with a tuned passive "drone cone". The passive radiator method is more suitable for compact enclosures, but the passive cone tends to be heavy, requiring some form of firm, durable suspension that can reduce efficiency. The directivity of the passive radiator also places restrictions on where and how the system can be installed. Original Yamaha SR-Bass™ technology employed in the VXS3S suspends a four-sided diaphragm on only one of its sides, using the resonance of the diaphragm to enhance the system’s low-frequency output. There are no limitations on the shape and materials used for the diaphragm, making SR-Bass™ technology applicable to a wide range of speaker designs, including compact models. Yamaha offers 2 choices. That is compact VXS3S and powerful VXS10S. Please select the best model for your application.

Satellite connectors optimize balance
The VXS3S and VXS10S have satellite connectors on the rear panel, minimizing the number of amplifier channels required to get a system up and running. And since the VXS3S and VXS10S support high-impedance connections, it is possible to connect low-impedance satellites while the subwoofer is connected to a high-impedance system, for example. A built-in high-pass filter is automatically applied to the satellite speakers, providing exceptionally smooth, natural frequency crossover from subwoofer to satellites.

Exchange/refund procedure
For exchanges/refund, the customer is required to post an exchange/refund request on the “Q&A” board.

The request is to include the reason for exchanges/refunds and the order number.
In case of exchange/refund request due to product defects or wrong item delivered, detailed photos of the products are also required. Exchanges/refunds will be made shortly upon careful examination and confirmation on the reported defects. 

The shipping costs occurring from product defects or wrong item delivered are the responsibility of the channel.com.ph.

channel.com.ph will repair any product under warranty at no charge or replace the unit of the exact model if deemed necessary.

If repair of returned merchandise is necessary due to neglect, damage, misuse, or improper repair by others, a charge will be made for labor, parts, and return freight.
