Overview:

The H&H Electronics Tensor Active models use the same cabinets and components as the passive systems, but feature a superbly efficient, light weight 200W Class D power amplifier.

• Active crossovers and subtle equalisation ensure the cabs, amps and drivers are perfectly suited to each other, and outperform expectations.
• Tensor Active cabs don’t feature multiple inputs, gains and EQ’s or any of the other functions best performed by a purpose built mixer, just high quality amplification to make your sound louder without colouration.

Technologies

PA WOOFERS

• Many aspects must be considered in PA woofer design: Is it for a sub or a front-of-house cab? If front-of-house, what compression driver will it be used with? What size and type of cabinet must it suit? How many drivers will be in the cab? When all this is considered, it is clear why designing and building our own speakers is a great advantage.
• FOH woofers must have enough high mid to match the compression driver used, but must reproduce enough bass to work without a sub. Subwoofer drivers must be able to shift a lot of air without suffering mechanical damage, or becoming non linear, and also should not reproduce much mid, which would need to be rolled out by expensive X-over components.

TENSOR RANGE SPEAKERS

• The Tensor range of cabinets feature high efficiency 1” exit compression drivers with 44mm voice coils (exceptTRE-108, which uses a 1” exit / 25mm coil compression driver with Neodymium magnet). These high specification drivers perfectly complement the moulded horn flare giving great clarity and dispersion across the high frequency band. Tensor woofers all feature Kevlar reinforced felted cones and large diameter high power rated precision voice coils. The drivers are designed for high efficiency, giving better transient response, clarity and reliability whilst reducing thermal compression issues.

TOTAL SYSTEM DESIGN

• Unlike many of our competitors, we design and build every part of our products. Speakers, electronics, cabinets and other parts are all designed and refined together to make a system; every part is fine tuned in development to work in harmony with the others resulting in performance far greater than the sum of the parts.

FRONT OF HOUSE

• The main PA facing the audience is the vital link between your talent and your audiences perception. Your front-of-house cabs carry your message. Loud isn’t enough ; detail, clarity, responsiveness and even subtlety are essential. Your speakers should be good enough that nobody even notices they exist. By fine tuning every detail to work together our PA will put the focus on you, not your speakers. Understated looks with robust build and components sourced from the best suppliers after extensive testing combine to give outstanding acoustic performance.

ACTIVE FRONT OF HOUSE

• HH Active front-of-house cabs use our proprietary Biamp electronics. A high efficiency, lightweight switch-mode power supply drives a Class D low/mid frequency amplifier rated conservatively at 500W (RMS @ 4 ohms), and a 50W Class A/B high frequency amp to give high sound pressure levels with dynamics, headroom and clarity. The inbuilt active X-over includes EQ and phase correction to perfectly match the drivers. The input panel includes features a balanced line input and link output, level control, preshape switch, and indicator LED’s for clipping and protect. Mixing and EQ are left to your mixer and outboard, where they should be. Our active cabs just make your sound louder.

CABINET DESIGN

• Good Engineers realise that you can’t create a perfect design on a computer. After optimising the theoretical cabinet acoustics we build and extensively test samples. During testing braces, handles, pole mount fittings, ports and drivers may all be moved or altered. Sometimes just a few millimetres make a big difference to overall performance. Bracing the cabinet in the right place costs no more than a brace in the wrong place, but greatly improves clarity. A few days of extra testing and cabinet building is justified by the result. 

Overview:

H&H Electronics TENSOR TRE-108A - Incredibly compact, but with a performance and specification that outdoes many bigger cabs. 180W RMS power handling and exceptional performance from the high power 8” woofer and genuine 1” compression driver make this system ideal for public speaking and distributed systems, but it’s also a great vocal cab for rehearsal rooms. Add in an active subwoofer for a compact but high performance system.

Rear Panel Features:

1. COMBI INPUT A -  line level balanced input compatible with balanced and unbalanced XLR and jack signal leads. Note; as this is a balanced input, a stereo signal cannot be connected to this socket. It is also not compatible with microphone level inputs and is not suitable for direct connection to a microphone. Use only good quality shielded signal cables.

2. LINK OUTPUT A  - balanced XLR output, parallel to the input. Use this to pass the signal along to another

active cabinet.

3.LEVEL CONTROL - Adjusts the overall level available from the system.

4.POWER LED -  Illuminates when the unit is connected to the mains supply and switched on.

5. CLIP LED  - Illuminates just before the amplifier begins to clip and distort. Adjust the level control and signal level from your source so this illuminates only briefly on peaks in the music. Using the system with this on all or much of the time will result in poor sound quality and damage to speakers and electronics.

6.EQ PRESHAPE SWITCH  - When the switch is 'out',the EQ is flat across the range. Engaging the preshape circuit gives a slight boost at bass and treble frequencies with a small mid range cut.This is often better for DJ's.

7.PROTECT LED -  This illuminates if a fault condition occurs,such as overheating.The amplifier will shut down to prevent further damage.Normal operation will resume once the fault has been rectified.

8.MAINS INLET -  IEC input for connection of an appropriate mains lead.

9. FUSE  - The main fuse is located at the top of the IEC socket. In case of failure replace only with the type and rating specified on the panel.

10.MAINS SWITCH  - Turns the system on and off.Ensure the volume control is at minimum when switching on and off.

11.VOLTAGE SELECT SWITCH  - This is factory set to the correct voltage for the region the product is supplied to. If necessary it can be reset by removing the mains lead and then loosening (but not removing) the screws securing the cover.The cover can then be pivoted away from the switch which can be moved to select the alternate voltage. DO NOT reconnect the mains lead until the cover is replaced and secured. Please ensure the correct fuse is fitted (as printed on the panel) for the voltage being used.

12.HEATSINK - This product is convection cooled.Do not cover the heatsink.

Exchange/refund procedure
For exchanges/refund, the customer is required to post an exchange/refund request on the “Q&A” board.

The request is to include the reason for exchanges/refunds and the order number.
In case of exchange/refund request due to product defects or wrong item delivered, detailed photos of the products are also required. Exchanges/refunds will be made shortly upon careful examination and confirmation on the reported defects. 

The shipping costs occurring from product defects or wrong item delivered are the responsibility of the channel.com.ph.

channel.com.ph will repair any product under warranty at no charge or replace the unit of the exact model if deemed necessary.

If repair of returned merchandise is necessary due to neglect, damage, misuse, or improper repair by others, a charge will be made for labor, parts, and return freight.
